The following are abnormal connections:
If a cable, such as cable number 3, is open loop, the two number 3 lights on the main tester and the remote tester do not light up.
If multiple cables are not connected, the multiple lights will not light up individually. If less than two cables are connected, none of the lights are on.
If both ends of the cable are scrambled, eg not. No. 2 and 4, then show up in:
Main Tester: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-G
Remote Tester: 1-4-3-2-5-6-7-8-G
If the two cables are shorted, no corresponding lights of the remote checkers are on, while the main checker remains unchanged. If three cables (including three) are shorted, the corresponding contacts are not connected.
If testing a patch panel or wall panel outlet, connect two cables (RJ45) that can match each other to the tester.
If the test leads are from the same axis, the bnc will turn on when the leads are working.
This tester uses a 9v dual-cell battery. If faint light appears, it is recommended to replace the battery. (Batteries not included.)
